Job waiting
Tuesday, May 05, 2009
In the midst of job hunting, there's this struggle between what you want and what you deem acceptable. I'm waiting for one of my potential employer to get back to me. (oh please please! Call me please!! PLEASE! I know I want you. I can't take the rejection.)
Then, I applied to other companies, telling myself that I'm open to other options. Am I really that open? How do you be open when you already know what you want?
I think lying to myself. Tell myself that I have to my options open in order just in case the email comes. So that I can deal with the rejection ordeal.
And for most employers. I bet they're taking their time to pick those that really really want them rather than those who is willing to accept them. These are the people who will leave you when the economy picks up again. (Hello keep-me-waiting company! Can you tell? I really really really want you!)
It has been 6 LONG working days waiting for that call. Its super agonizing waiting day after day. The possibility of a call is getting lower while the chances of receiving an email is growing exponentially larger.
Please let me wait no longer. Call me! Tomorrow. There's 8 hours of working time!
